- Acquiring specification for products from house builders, local authorities, major contractors, and companies through Barbour leads in the designated area.
- Ensuring that high volume and new products, such as EV chargers, Lighting, and Electrical accessories are specified.
- Collaborating with the Regional Specification Manager to establish rebates and prices with new specifiers.
- Conducting visits to a defined list of current developer customers and contractors in the area, as required.
- Expanding the customer portfolio in the area by utilising personal initiative to achieve a given target of plots/£ sales, as agreed with the Specification Director/Regional Manager.
- Communicating secured specifications to the senior management team.
- Engaging with existing major specifiers and new ones in the area, including attending meetings and arranging display boards and samples.
- Collaborating with the technical department and Regional Specification Manager to address product performance issues raised by contractors and developers.
- Coordinating with the Regional Specification Manager regarding pricing for developer products with contractors and wholesalers.
- Attending sales meetings with Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs) as required.
- Preparing a monthly report in the requested format.
Requirements
- Experience in Sales and/or Specification of electrical products to Developers/Contractors/Main Contractors/Local Authorities/Housing Associations
- Good communication and literacy skills
- Clean driving licence
