Our O&M team is growing and we are looking to hire a Senior Operations & Maintenance Engineer to join our O&M Team. You will be part of a team that operates and maintains a diverse portfolio of solar PV facilities managed by MASE across the region. As Senior O&M Engineer your main responsibilities will be to:
- Full ownership and responsibility of designated aspects of the day to day operation of the assets under your team's care.
- Implement plant operating and maintenance plans.
- Supervise plant operating and maintenance teams, service partners, and nominated subcontractors.
- De involved in technical interface with clients, stakeholders and all related parties.
Your designation level will be IC 5. You will report to the O&M Team Lead.
Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Perform designated aspects of the day to day operation of the facility in accordance with contractual obligations, best practices and relevant standards and procedures.
- Prepare and implement plant operating and maintenance plans and procedures ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, prudent practices, as well as client and OEM requirements.
- Prepare and present all relevant periodical and ad hoc technical and non-technical reports.
- Interface and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, and all relevant third parties.
- Be involved in the technical process associated with procurement of parts, materials, and services and support for the resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all project safety, environment and contractual responsibilities and obligations.
- Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise across all subject matters.
- Perform routine quality assurance and OHS checks of your team's work. Continuously implement improvements and enhancements to elevate the quality and safety of your team's work.
- Continuously train, develop, grow and support your team.
- Take responsibility for the wellbeing and on-job satisfaction of your team.
- Assist your team in various solar maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct periodical performance reviews and submit feedback and recommendations.
You must demonstrate the following skillset, as minimum:
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience within a technical field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the operations, maintenance and/or management of solar PV facilities across all components and operating voltage levels (LV, MV and HV).
- Experience in the operation of various SCADA systems.
- Skilled in the use of testing and diagnostics equipment and tools such as thermographic electrical inspection, I-V Curve tracing, meggers, and ground fault detection.
- Knowledge of applicable grid interconnection and operating standards.
- Ability to read and understand single line diagrams and electrical documentation.
- Computer proficiency with typical software (MS Office, AutoCAD, SCADA, etc.).
- Excellent technical reporting and analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to work outdoors in challenging weather environments.
- The position will require the ability to remotely operate and maintain projects, and candidate must be willing to travel to site locations as often as required.
- Willingness to work at nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
