Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Business Development Engineer in Cape Town, WC.
Responsibilities:- Develop sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions focusing medium to large C&I projects
- Work with internal team and/or customers to develop a optimized technical solutions for renewable energy projects;
- Prelim technical solution design, costing and proposal write up
- Assist client contract negotiations.
- Develop sales with new and existing accounts in assigned areas to meet business targets.
- Develop competitive strategies to sales objectives and maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
- Provide input on the business plan to ensure sales sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers within the industry
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years technical sales experience in renewable energy or related
- Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators and electrical reticulation
- Ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions
- Ability to coordinate amongst multidisciplinary teams (both internally and externally)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
- Ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure.
- Knowledge of project management will be advantageous
- Previous large scale solar installations knowledge will be an advantage.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
