Renewable Energy Legal Research – Intern - Work Remotely

As a legal research intern, joining our team, you will be challenged by complex, high-pressure assignments that will directly impact our clients and the company. This is an opportunity for you, an ambitious individual to make a significant and positive impact on the organization by working as a member of cross-disciplined teams of staff. You will work closely with our senior staff and will have exposure to a wide variety of projects within a performance-based culture. Do you love research, translating complicated concepts into easily understood language and are the textbook definition of “meticulous”? Then this position maybe for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research best practices by reviewing templates, such as:
- Energy Services Contracts
- Power Purchase Agreements
- Confidential Information Memorandums
- Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Joint Venture Agreements
- Maintain corporate records such as minute books for our project entities
- Develop standard operating procedures, create a digitized workflow for all of our legal documentation

- You're often mistaken for a private investigator as you’re known for researching and scouring the web for information that no one else was able to find
- As a child you loved playing “Where’s Waldo” and apply that same eye to detail in ensuring the company’s CYA
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently studying a legal or paralegal education
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Strong knowledge of legal concepts and contractual language
- Are you (French and English) bilingual? If so, highlight that fact
as it is an asset
