**Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer - Projects (HANSOT)
**Job Overview:**
As a Civil Engineer specializing in civil work associated with new construction of - 66 KV sub stations, Control Room Building, 66 KV EHV transmission lines, preparing cable trenches for laying power cables etc. Execution of Project - Marking, Excavation, laying of PCC, shuttering works, Reinforcement works, concreting work and finishing activities, 66KV Switchyard foundations of Transformer, LA, CT, PT, Isolators, cable trench, staff quarters, Control room building, store room, Drain, Road, Compound wall and lighting pole foundation, Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and construction teams and ensure the successful completion of subject civil work.
Area surveying, Soil testing, Marking for excavation, supervising level machine and ready to PCC base, Reinforce work, shuttering work, concreting work, and finishing work, calculate quantities of different construction materials, Documentation, Man - Material handling, Maintain Concrete Quality as per Mix design, Site work and labour management, Validate Joint Measurement Sheet submitted by Vendors, work place marking for excavation and shuttering work, material testing site planning, client handling and DPR work.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Site Evaluation and Preparation:**
- Conduct thorough site evaluations to assess soil conditions, topography, and other environmental factors influencing project design.
- Develop site preparation plans, including grading, levelling and foundation design.
2. **Structural Design and Analysis:**
- Analyse structural components, such as mounting structures and foundations, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with structural engineers to optimize designs for sub stations, switchyard, EHV lines etc..
3. **Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:**
- Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Work with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals for construction.
4. **Construction Oversight:**
- Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve construction-related issues.
5. **Quality Control:**
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that civil construction activities meet established standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests during construction phases.
6. **Budget and Resource Management:**
- Work closely with project managers to develop and manage budgets for civil engineering aspects.
- Optimize resource utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, changes, and deviations.
- Generate progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on sub station/EHV lines projects.
- Knowledge of relevant construction codes, standards, and regulations.
