The Role:
As a Solar PV Installer, your role is to work cooperatively with your assigned crew to successfully completed assigned projects. As a Solar PV Installer, you will be reading and interpreting construction drawings, using various construction tools, working at heights, installing Solar PV hardware and equipment, commissioning systems, preforming troubleshooting, and diagnosing and repairing systems.

A day in the life
- Daily organization of equipment, and materials
- Analyze specifications and construction drawings.
- Work on Residential pitched roofs
- Layout solar PV arrays on pitched roofs
- Install solar PV mounting hardware including anchors, flashings, and rails
- Install module level power electronics
- Wire PV source circuits (home runs)
- Mount and wire rooftop combiner box
- Install and remove roof anchors
- Manage fall protection equipment
- Seal roof penetrations
- Connect and install solar PV modules
- Install DC wire from rooftop combiner to inverter
- Commission inverter systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PV systems
- Set up and Connect PV monitoring systems
- Working on various types of Solar PV Arrays and mounting methodologies (Rooftop and Ground)
- Commissioning and energizing Solar PV System
- Ensure site cleanliness throughout the life cycle of the installation
Qualifications:
- College or University degree or undergraduate
- 1+ years’ experience installing Solar PV.
- 1+ year’s Roofing experience
- Detailed understanding of roof construction
- Fall Safety and Fall Arrest Certification
- Working at Heights Certification
- Knowledge of Solar PV Systems including various racking systems, Inverter technology, modules and optimizers
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- lift 54lbs or more repeatedly throughout the day
