Job Description
We are constantly growing and are currently looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our top qualified and knowledgeable Engineering team, based in Athens Office.

Role summary:
In this role, you will enhance the power and strength of the Engineering team, assisting in better organization and optimization of Engineering Department (ENG) operations by applying more efficient engineering controls (department and project wise) assuring better utilization on ENG resources and improving internal coordination and management of interfaces with other Company departments/Divisions as well as 3rd parties (engineering subcontractors, vendors etc.).

What you will need to do:
- Handle engineering support requests of Company departments and Divisions to ENG and liaise with ENG disciplines for budgeting and internal scheduling of relevant works
- Follow-up the timely and proper submission of ENG timesheets and update the relevant list of open ENG projects/tenders and other tasks
- Apply ENG internal procedures for reporting to ENG management of spent manhours, progress and indirect/direct cost, calculate and report KPIs.
- Collect discipline commitments and manhours estimation, including direct and indirect costs for the preparation of the ENG budget including those of engineering subcontractors/consultants
- Coordinate with Company departments, 3rd parties (engineering subcontractors/consultants) and internally with ENG disciplines, as applicable, for the preparation of the engineering schedule and plans in accordance with Employer requirements and Project schedule
- Perform cost (spent manhours, direct/indirect cots etc.) and change Request controls, identify cost/schedule overruns and proposing proper remedial actions
- Collect data, apply progress measurement methods and compile engineering progress reports (weekly, monthly etc.), in accordance with Project requirements and Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Apply progress, schedule, cost control of engineering subcontractors/consultants and assist in the resolution of claims
- Ensure that all activities are performed on time; determine the causes of any deviation so that any potential problems or delays are mitigated promptly
Qualifications
What you will need to have:
- BSc degree in Engineering
- Min. seven (7) years of working experience in Engineering (or related); out of which two (2) years in project controls
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Primavera and MS Project; knowledge of MS Access would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of key Cost control, Budgeting, Pricing & Estimation concepts
- Experience in the oil and gas and overseas projects would be considered a major advantage
- Fluency in English language; knowledge of French language will be considered an asset
