We are looking for a Purchasing Manager (m/w/d) to join our team !
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Directly lead a team of Tactical buyers
- Manage and improve the Purchase Orders issuing and follow up process. Track open PO reports’ communication to suppliers in support of materials on time delivery, expediting and inventory control.
- Constantly improve the process of running MRP exception to avoid obsolete material and guarantee the correct material on time delivery and inventory control.
- Ensure Inventory stock levels availability; support operation initiatives from purchasing aspects.
- Monitor and report Supplier OTD, ensure improvements on their performances via tactical purchasing best practices.
- Close collaboration with global supply chain (strategic purchasing). Ensure site buyers are following sourcing strategics determined by global supply chain organisation.
- Contribute to new products introduction for new components ordering, ensuring on time implementations.
- Ensure data reliability for Customs compliance with vendors and compliance teams. Control Vendor and Material Master data accuracy updates in ERP system.
- Work systematically and professionally in a well-documented manner in accordance with the company rules and procedures including adherence to trade compliance (export / import and supply chain security) regulations entirely.
- Every Employee is obliged to keep the ESH rules and is also obliged to report any event and risk occurring regarding any ESH process to their direct manager.
Who you are:
You communicate effectively in different situations: one-to-one, in small and large groups or in different styles and at different levels. You make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems and focus on priorities.
For this role, you will need:
- Fluent English and German language
- University/ College Certification
- Min 5 years’ experience in similar position
- Materials Management (planning, inventory management, purchasing) knowledge.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
- Engineering and Supply Chain Certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.)
- SAP Knowledge
- Strong managerial courage, assertiveness, and ability to work through resistance to change.
