Senior Full-Stack Developer – React / Python
Our client is a leader in green energy customer technology solutions. They are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer with strong React and Python expertise to help design and build new user-facing application features and enhance existing web applications.
This role is primarily focused on front-end development with React, but strong backend proficiency with Python is essential. The ideal candidate can take a design or documented set of requirements, independently determine the technical approach, and implement the changes across the front end and backend as needed.
You will work closely with the Professional Services and engineering teams to turn designs and business requirements into polished, production-ready functionality. This includes building new UI features in React, developing the Python APIs and backend services required to support those features, integrating with existing systems, and making changes to legacy applications.
What You'll Do

Build and enhance modern, user-facing web applications using React
- Translate designs, wireframes, and documented requirements into high-quality, responsive UI features

Independently take a feature from design and requirements through development, integration, testing, and deployment

Develop and integrate backend services and APIs using Python

Build and consume RESTful APIs to connect front-end applications with backend systems
- Determine what front-end and backend changes are required to implement new functionality
- Work with existing application architecture and legacy code to safely introduce new features and improvements
- Troubleshoot issues across the full technology stack
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders while maintaining ownership of assigned features
- Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code
- Contribute to improving development processes, automation, and application architecture
Core Requirements
- Strong professional experience building modern web applications with React

Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development practices

Proven ability to take UI designs and independently turn them into fully functional application features

Strong backend development experience with Python 3.x

Experience developing or working with Python-based APIs and services, preferably FastAPI or a similar framework

Experience building, integrating, and consuming RESTful APIs
- Understanding of how front-end applications interact with backend services, databases, and external systems

Ability to independently evaluate requirements and determine the full-stack changes necessary to deliver a feature

Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of development work from beginning to end

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a senior, hands-on full-stack engineer who is particularly strong on the front end.
The ideal candidate is someone who can receive a design, understand the underlying business requirements, and independently turn that design into a working product. They should be highly proficient with React and comfortable building polished, maintainable user interfaces, while also having enough Python/backend expertise to develop or modify the APIs and services necessary to support those interfaces.
This is not a role where the developer will simply be handed individual tickets with detailed instructions. We need someone who can own a feature from concept through implementation, identify what needs to change across the stack, make sound technical decisions, and deliver the finished functionality with minimal oversight.
React/front-end expertise is the most important technical requirement. Python/backend proficiency is the second critical skill. Experience with the broader data, cloud, and infrastructure technologies is helpful, but candidates do not need to be experts in every technology listed above.
