Leap29 are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Storage Project Developer to join one of our clients in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean energy solutions and a proven track record in developing and managing energy storage projects.
Ideal candidate location: Pacific Northwest. neighbouring states may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of energy storage projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, and community groups.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop financial models and analyze project economics to support investment decisions.
- Oversee the commissioning and performance testing of energy storage systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy project development, with at least 2 years focused on energy storage.
- Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
