We’re looking for an experienced
Senior Civil Designer who knows Civil 3D inside and out and is ready to take on complex industrial site development projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed civil design work, collaborating with engineering teams, and helping projects move from initial layouts through accurate, constructible drawings.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop basic and complex civil layouts and produce new drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support industrial site development projects involving site grading, earthwork, storm drainage, retention/detention systems, potable water distribution, sanitary collection and pumping systems, and roadway layouts.
- Perform conversions between state plane and plant coordinates.
- Incorporate redlines and revisions from check prints into drawings.
- Perform detailed dimensional and bill of material checks to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
- Review designs for interferences and constructability.
- Assist the Engineering Supervisor with project coordination, job requirements, and training.
- Provide guidance and technical support to less-experienced drafters and designers.
- Collaborate with engineering and project team members across multiple organizational levels.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of civil design and layout experience.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with industrial site development and civil infrastructure design.
- Strong understanding of civil drafting techniques, codes, and standards.
- Working knowledge of general mathematics and trigonometry.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Associate degree in a related discipline with an emphasis in civil/structural design preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime as project needs require.
