About the Role
As a Solar Journeyman Electrician, you’ll play a critical role in our residential and commercial solar projects. From safe installations to troubleshooting and commissioning, you’ll ensure every photovoltaic (PV) system meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of installers, project managers, and inspectors to deliver top-notch results.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate AC/DC wiring for residential and commercial PV systems.
- Bend, route, and secure EMT conduit with precision and clean workmanship.
- Wire inverters, disconnects, combiner boxes, rapid shutdown devices, and service equipment.
- Perform VOC/ISC testing, continuity checks, and commissioning procedures.
- Troubleshoot inverter faults, ground faults, arc faults, and low-production issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC 690/705, local codes, and utility interconnection standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and NFPA 70E safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, homeowners, and inspectors.
- Document work using CRM tools.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a professional who meets the following qualifications:

Active Journeyman Electrician License (Maryland or reciprocal state).

3–5+ years of electrical experience (solar experience strongly preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and one-line diagrams.
- Proficiency with tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
- Experience with major inverter brands (e.g., Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Sol-Ark, Tesla).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working on roofs and ladders with proper fall protection.
