Qualification Requirements:
- A candidate with higher professional (majoring) education and at least 5 years of work experience in the specialty is appointed to the position of Principal Engineer.
- Principal Engineer shall have the following knowledge:
- Decrees, instructions, orders of superior bodies, applicable regulatory documents, Company Standards on Integrated Management System.
- Prospects for development and improvement of work activity of the Team with implementation of progressive engineering solutions from domestic and foreign experience in design, construction of facilities and structures;
- Production and organization structure of the Company, rules, instructions, provisions and other regulatory acts for engineering works.
- Basics of economics, scientific organization of labor, production and management, methods for efficiency assessment of project design solutions.
- Basics of labor legislation, occupational health rules and regulations, safety, industrial hygiene and fire protection rules;
- Procedure for development of look-ahead plans and annual plans for improvement of technical and economic level of project design solutions, basic principles of computer-aided design systems.
- Study Company Standards on Integrated Management System.
- Principal Engineer shall pass job competence assessment in accordance with the established procedure as well as refresher training as required and in accordance with Company Training Plan.
Duties:
- Principal Engineer of Environmental and Industrial Safety Projects Development Team shall:
- Conduct technical policy in the field of design within his/her discipline that meets contemporary requirements, develop main principles of engineering and ensure implementation of such principles during development of design;
- Participate in development and agreement of principal engineering solutions.
- Ensure issuance of engineering documentation of high quality and in timely manner, apply regulatory and guiding materials, orders and instructions;
- Develop and prepare solutions for the most complicated engineering issues considered at Company management level;
- Assess completeness of input data for designing;
- Participate alongside with Project Manager in preparation of technical design assignment, assignments to related production departments of the Company, Company business units, if required;
- Ensure and keep record of implementation of new machinery in facilities designed by Team, achieved savings of fuel, energy and labor resources and other performance indicators, as well as application of typical and repeated individual cost-effective designs;
- Periodically conduct analysis of progress of facilities design communicate to employees of the Team in order to increase the level of quality and scientific and technical level of design solutions;
- Monitor changes in regulatory documentation (implementation of new regulatory documents, amendment and voiding of existing regulations, etc.) inform department employees about such changes;
- Jointly with Team Lead to submit proposals on improvement of technical activity of the department, use of new engineering solutions and rational organization of design process to Company management.
- Jointly with the Team Lead suggest candidates for passing additional technical training;
- Exercise technical control of technical documentation developed by the Team for compliance with current rules, regulations and guidelines and sign them.
- Principal Engineer shall have the following knowledge:
- Legislative and other regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Principles of labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Corporate Code of Conduct;
- Occupational health and safety regulations;
- Participate in implementation of Company Policy and Objectives in the field of Integrated Management System.
- Comply with HES management system for the purposes of elimination or mitigation of risks.
- Treat carefully resources that are being consumed (power, water, paper).
