Summary
The incumbent serves as a Fish and Wildlife Administrator with significant managerial, leadership, and advocacy responsibility for programs, issues, and policies relative to the protection of fish and wildlife resources within the Everglades Program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Salary Range Information (Per Annum): $133,953 - $174,144 *First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
Major Duties
As a Fish and Wildlife Administrator your duties will include but are not limited to the following: As a senior manager for the Everglades Program in the region, exercises leadership and provides direction for the management and administration of subordinate programs and activities. Provides leadership and direction to ensure appropriate coordination, strategic planning, budget and performance integration, and accomplishment reporting for the Everglades Program in the Region. Represents the Service and participates in agency and interagency planning sessions, workshops, and meetings (including other Service activities, other Federal, Tribal, and State agencies, local governments, organizations, groups, and individuals) for the purposes of communicating and negotiating Service positions and objectives. Responsibilities include the implementation of national policies related to the conservation, protection, and management of fish and wildlife resources.
