Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Facility Operations Specislit with Grand Teton National Park. The incumbent serves as the Branch Chief of Maintenance and Operations within the Division of Facility Management and reports directly to the Chief of the Facility Management Division. This position includes extensive and complex responsibilities in both Grand Teton National Park and John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provides technical and administrative supervision to a diverse team of year-round and seasonal staff, including Maintenance Supervisors, ensuring effective personnel management, training, performance evaluation, and compliance with merit principles and EEO guidelines. Develops and manages comprehensive staffing plans, lifecycle maintenance strategies, and annual/long-range work schedules for park assets-including buildings, roads, trails, utility systems, and fleet-adapting to seasonal fluctuations and emergency needs. Oversees the input, tracking, execution, and control of all maintenance and repair work, utilizing facility management software systems (FMSS, PMIS, AFS, FBMS, etc.) to ensure accurate database management, quality control, and timely completion of work orders and projects. Directs the development and execution of multi-million dollar annual and project budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and fleet management, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and financial policies, and prioritizing funding allocations to meet park requirements. Plans, estimates, and schedules all assigned maintenance and repair work, coordinating with division leadership and contracting officers to develop scopes, specifications, and funding requests, and ensuring completion of in-house and contracted projects within budget and schedule.
