Health and Safety Advisor
Barna Recycling, Connacht’s leading waste provider, are recruiting for a Health and Safety advisor to join our team. As a Health and Safety Advisor you will work as part of the Health and Safety team to assist in maintaining a high standard of safety across all sites in Connacht.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the health and safety manager in ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Assist in the development of specific health and safety procedures.
- Assist in carrying out safety audits, risk assessments, method statements and accident reporting etc.
- Keep up to date on all matters regarding Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
- Foster a high standard and approach to health and safety compliance across all sites.
- Conduct Health and Safety Induction for all new hires across all sites.
- Assisting with overseeing hazardous and non-hazardous waste procedures
Requirements
· Strong Administration and IT skills
· NEBOSH certificate required
· 5 years’ experience in the waste industry desirable
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be able to work as part of a team but equally be able to work on one’s own initiative.
· Full driving licence essential
Terms
· 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
· Full Training provided.
· Salary Negotiable
