Solar Inspection Sitter / Field Representative
S.O.T.A. Electrical Services is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Solar Inspection Sitter to assist with solar and electrical inspections throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
This position is responsible for being on-site during inspections, communicating with inspectors, documenting inspection requirements, and making sure our team receives accurate information to complete any required corrections.
Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled solar and electrical inspections on behalf of the company

Communicate professionally with inspectors and take detailed notes on inspection results, corrections, and requirements
- Take clear photos and document any issues identified during inspections
- Review electrical plans and compare them with the installed system

Safely open and access main electrical panels when required
- Use basic hand tools to make minor adjustments or corrections when appropriate
- Understand basic electrical components, wiring, breakers, grounding, and solar equipment
- Report inspection results back to the office promptly and accurately

Travel to job sites throughout MD, VA, and PA
- Represent S.O.T.A. Electrical Services professionally while on-site
Requirements
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Willingness to travel throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania
- Basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with residential electrical systems
- Comfortable using hand tools
- Ability to safely access and work around main electrical panels
- Ability to read and understand electrical/solar plans
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to take accurate notes and follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
