Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the technical execution of electrical substation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing single-line diagrams, specifying high-voltage equipment, ensuring protective relay coordination, and overseeing substation projects from conceptual design through to testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Installation & Execution: Oversee the physical installation of primary and secondary substation equipment, including power transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, control and relay panels, battery banks, and backup diesel generators.
- Drawing & Layout Compliance: Interpret and execute works based on approved single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, cable trench layouts, and earthing/grounding grid designs.
- Testing & Commissioning: Coordinate and witness pre-commissioning tests (e.g., transformer ratio, insulation resistance, CT/PT polarity, relay injection tests, and high-voltage factory/site acceptance testing).
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 8-12 years of direct site execution experience, specifically focusing on HV/MV Substation Construction (ranging from 11kV to 132kV/400kV projects).
