The principal responsibilities shall essentially include:
- Lead technical feasibility and due diligence projects. This shall include client and internal co-ordination with internal team of Solar Energy designers to deliver projects within allocated time and budget.
- Develop initial PV system concept of plant layout which shall essentially include technology assessment, tilt-pitch optimization, DC overload analysis, long term energy yields analysis and project economics for optimum LCOE.
- Support detail engineering and owner’s project with conceptual designs.
- Support the preparation of special proposals and bids.
- Lead site visits of feasibility projects and gather information to for design and identify critical implementation risks.
- Handle EPC bid management projects which involves preparing comprehensive RfP documentation with technical specifications following the local and standard codal compliances. Perform bid analysis through set benchmark and provide technical support in contract finalization.
- Maintain awareness of new product technology and communicate pertinent developments with colleagues.
- Support SgurrEnergy’s solar PV business development activities.
- Site visits in India and abroad.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of solar market and various policy frameworks.
- An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar projects.
- Expert knowledge of solar energy technology and overall Projects lifecycle.
- Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies in renewable energy market.
- Ability to quantify risk and opportunities in due diligence projects and new design & PV technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce high-quality technical reports within predefined deadline.
- Familiar with international standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards;
- Technical background in modules, inverters and/or battery technology will be a plus.
- Hands on experience in Solar PV yield prediction softwares like PVSyst, Helios, Aurora, PVSol etc.
- Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Strong management capabilities.
- Competent user of main Microsoft packages.
- Contribute to continual development of team’s functional and operational requirements through solar engineering standards, toolsets and work processes.
- Previous experience working in consultancy and / or project development environment
