Summary
You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic for the Southeast Idaho National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Hamer, ID. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provides support in the areas of operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the large and complex water diversion and delivery systems. Performs repairs, preventative maintenance, operational checks, and troubleshooting problems with vehicles, heavy equipment and ATV/UTVs. Constructs, alters, modifies or repairs a wide range of features in buildings, quarters and other facilities. This can include carpentry, electrical, and/or plumbing repairs. Maintains Refuge roads that include grading and snow and ice removal during adverse conditions. Sprays weeds in Refuge administration areas such as parking lots.
