Dahlia Recruitment - Renewables are working with a growing Biogas company based in Ireland to recruit for a plant Engineer to take responsibility for the safe, compliant and reliable management of the planned and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment within the scope of influence of the site operations team.
The role is the critical to ensure limited unplanned system failures from the operational mechanical and electrical systems. Leadership with the adopted Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which will be a pivotal tool to ensure 100% compliance with recommended and empirically determined maintenance routines to minimise system downtime.
Proof for external regulatory bodies of the actual planned maintenance and reporting to the Plant Manager of successful completion of any unplanned repairs.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Mechanical maintenance within an industrial or process environment, fault finding, adherence to prevailing health & safety controls, budget control. Recognised Engineering qualification.
Desirable
Maintenance of an industrial site in AD, water / wastewater treatment, or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Manage overall maintenance processes and procedures to ensure warranty periods are
not compromised and plant downtime is minimised.
Planned Maintenance
Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules using the site's CMMS.
Inspect, service, and repair mechanical, electrical, and process equipment.
Ensure statutory inspections and maintenance activities are completed on time.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work history within the CMMS.
Reactive Maintenance
Respond to equipment failures to minimise plant downtime.
Diagnose and carry out emergency repairs safely and efficiently.
Escalate recurring issues and recommend permanent corrective actions.
Equipment Reliability
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) following a significant failure.
Implement continuous improvement such as condition monitoring activities.
Health, Safety & Environmental
Work in accordance with SOPs and RAMS with Permits to Work used for abnormal
operations.
Comply with DSEAR, ATEX, confined space, isolation (LOTOTO), and gas safety
procedures.
Review RAMs for contractors and provide PTW.
Report hazards, near misses, and incidents.
Maintain high housekeeping standards.
Compliance
Ensure maintenance activities comply with company procedures and legislative
requirements.
Spare Parts & Inventory
Identify required spare parts.
Maintain stock accuracy.
Raise Purchase Orders when required.
Team Working
Work closely with Plant Operators.
Communicate maintenance issues during the daily meeting.
