Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Recreation Fee Specialist with the National Park Service at Rocky Mountain National Park. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Manage all aspects of a park-wide recreation fee program and their effect on overall program objectives, priorities, and milestones across multiple distinct fee operations. Coordinate with Park and Regional administrative/business teams to ensure their involvement and cooperation in developing recommendations to improve the fee and revenue process. Serve as key member of the national cadre of recreation fee program experts that regularly serve on Service wide task forces to develop program guidelines and make recommendations in changes in laws and regulations relating to rate establishment, etc. Direct audit program of fee collection, FFS entries, project expenditures, and cost of collection expenditures, deposits, and accountable stock. Manage a large staff on a park-wide basis involved in revenue and fee operations and associated activities. Directly supervise one GS-11 Supervisory Recreation Fee Specialist, two GS-08 Supervisory Recreation Fee Specialists, two GS-06/07 Supervisory Recreation Fee Specialists, and one GS-05/06 Recreation Fee Technician. Physical Demands: The work of this position is typically sedentary, however the work may occasionally require standing for long periods of time, as well as walking, bending, lifting of moderately heavy items. Work Environment: This position typically works in an office environment, but may also work at an entrance station, visitor center, and/or visitor contact station. The work area is usually adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
