Summary
You will serve as a Fleet Management Specialist. This position is located in Mount Rainier National Park in the Division of Facilities Maintenance. The primary purpose of this position is to implement and execute the Parks' fleet program, including commercial leases, in close coordination with the property and auto shop teams.
Major Duties
At the full performance level (GS-09) the major duties of the Fleet Management Specialist position include, but are not limited to the following: - Reviews, tracks, submits, and coordinates requests for changes to fleet or equipment in consultation with the regional POCs, GSA FSR, and hiring managers. - Serves as an advisor to the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and the directorate leads on succession planning for fleet and equipment. - Responds to data calls regarding vehicle and equipment use. - Maintains accurate records in an automated system. - Makes purchases to ensure the Auto Shop and Heavy Mobile Mechanic team are able to fulfill the obligations of that work group Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately February-November and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
