Summary
You will serve as a Fish and Wildlife Administrator with US Fish and Wildlife Service. This position is located within the Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2, Oklahoma Ecological Services, located in Tulsa, OK. We invite you to join the Southwest Region's Oklahoma Ecological Service Field Office team supervising about 20 FTEs that work to conserve and recover a variety of trust resources and the ecosystems upon which we all depend.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Supervise about 20 FTEs that work to conserve and recover a variety of trust resources and the ecosystems through complex and challenging workload across multiple Ecological Services program areas, including: Endangered Species (e.g., Listing, Recovery, Consultations), the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program (working with private landowners to voluntarily restore wildlife habitat), Environmental Contaminants (e.g., Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR), water quality, and Conservation Planning Assistance (e.g., National Environmental Policy Act reviews, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act projects and permitting under the Clean Water Act). This position will oversee a team that actively develops partnerships and creative solutions for diverse and complex natural resource issues to recover and protect habitat, landscapes, fish, wildlife, and plants, both terrestrial and aquatic, across Oklahoma.
