We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs within a non-union electronics manufacturing environment. This position promotes a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and risk prevention by partnering with employees, supervisors, and leadership to identify hazards, reduce workplace injuries, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations.
What You’ll Do
The EHS Coordinator serves as a visible presence on the production floor and assists in addressing hazards associated with soldering operations, heated equipment, moving machinery, ergonomic risk factors, and slip, trip, and fall prevention.
Support compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including:
Hazard Communication (HazCom)
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Walking-Working Surfaces
Machine Guarding
Emergency Action and Fire Prevention Programs
Maintain OSHA injury and illness records, including OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301.
Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting requirements.
Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and ensure appropriate employee access.
Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for manufacturing and assembly operations.
Hazard Prevention and Risk Reduction
Identify, evaluate, and assist in mitigating workplace hazards, including:
Thermal burn hazards associated with soldering irons, heated components, and molten materials
Hair, jewelry, and loose clothing entanglement hazards around moving or rotating equipment
Slip, trip, and fall hazards related to cables, cords, spills, floor mats, and housekeeping practices
Ergonomic risks associated with repetitive manufacturing and assembly tasks
Recommend and support implementation of engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
Safety Training and Employee Engagement
Conduct new safety orientation and required safety training.
Deliver training programs related to:
Safe soldering practices
PPE selection, use, care, and maintenance
Housekeeping and slip prevention
Hazard recognition and reporting
Emergency response procedures
Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee awareness programs.
Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives, near-miss reporting, and hazard correction activities.
Inspections and Audits
Perform routine facility inspections and safety audits, lead safety GEMBA’s
Evaluate compliance with PPE requirements, safe work procedures, housekeeping standards, and hazard controls.
Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely completion.
Maintain inspection documentation and follow-up records.
Incident Investigation
Investigate workplace injuries, illnesses, near misses, property damage incidents, and unsafe conditions.
Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
Track incident trends and prepare reports for leadership review.
Assist with workers' compensation and injury management processes, as applicable.
Environmental Responsibilities
Support compliance with environmental regulations and company environmental programs.
Assist with the proper storage, handling, labeling, and disposal of materials and waste streams.
Monitor workplace conditions related to chemical exposure, ventilation, and indoor air quality, as applicable.
Maintain environmental records and documentation as required.
What You’ll Bring
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
Bachelor’s degree
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
One (1) to three (3) years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly operations, or light industrial environments is a plus.
