Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Program Management Specialist/Chief of Staff with National Park Service. This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Region, Regional Director's office, in Omaha, Nebraska. *This is a Chief of Staff position, and the selectee is expected to fulfill all responsibilities associated with the position on a daily basis.
Major Duties
As Chief of Staff the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Provide management analysis and executive support to the Regional Director and Deputy Regional Directors by coordinating organizational initiatives, executive communications, and administrative operations. Analyze organizational processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate executive meetings, leadership councils, special projects, data calls, briefings, and information requests involving Regional Office directorates, parks, Washington Office, and external partners. Coordinate superintendent recruitment, onboarding, Position Management Review Board activities, and serves as liaison with the Servicing Human Resources Office. Track executive assignments, organizational priorities, and follow-up actions to ensure timely completion of leadership decisions.
