Summary
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Salt Flat, Texas. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
Major Duties
This is a Merit Promotion announcement for career and career conditional National Park Service employees, Career Transition eligibles (CTAP), Current or former time-limited employees eligible under Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) and those who are eligible under the hiring paths listed above. Refer to Required Documents section for more information. At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as a member of the Park's management team advising the team on all matters related to the Visitor Services Program. Manages the Visitor Services Program including Interpretation, Education, Outreach, and the fee collection program. Oversee the Special Park Uses permit program. Serves as the Park's Public Information/FOIA Officer. Serves as liaison to the Park's Cooperating Association, overseeing the bookstore operation and coordinating with the Association management team.
