What you´ll do
- Lead and maintain environmental, health, and safety
(EHS) programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable
federal, state, and local regulations while supporting ISO 14001 and
OHSAS/ISO 45001 management systems.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and facilities
teams to identify risks, investigate incidents, and implement engineering
controls and process improvements that reduce workplace injuries,
illnesses, and environmental impacts.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS
policies, procedures, and site-wide programs to foster a strong culture of
safety and regulatory excellence across the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct safety and industrial hygiene assessments,
analyze trends, evaluate sampling results, and provide actionable
recommendations to proactively address workplace hazards and compliance
risks.
- Lead EHS training strategy and delivery, identifying
organizational training needs and ensuring employees are equipped with the
knowledge and tools necessary to work safely and effectively.
- Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert,
providing guidance to leadership on regulatory compliance, facility
design, equipment purchases, safety investigations, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
What makes you a good fit:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health,
Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical
discipline, with 5+ years of EHS/SHE leadership experience in a
manufacturing environment; chemical industry experience strongly
preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other
federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations,
with ASP or CSP certification preferred.
- Proven ability to identify risks, solve complex
problems, and implement innovative safety solutions while balancing
business needs, regulatory requirements, and cost-benefit considerations.
- Excellent communication, training, and influencing
skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels of
the organization and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading emergency response programs,
incident investigations, and cross-functional EHS initiatives while
collaborating effectively with operations, engineering, and leadership
teams.
- Strong organizational, project management, and
analytical skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands,
work independently, leverage internal and external resources, and support
strategic business objectives.

The salary for this role is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
