The Environmental Specialist positionis responsible foroverseeing and coordinating all aspects of the environmental program to ensure interpretation, recommendation and compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations (US and Australian) and/or company policy.
The position supports a multi-disciplined facilitylocatedsouthwest of Alice Springs, withadditionalsupporting infrastructurelocatedwithin the Alice Springs township. The facility is self-sufficient, generating power, water supply, treatment, storage and distribution, general waste and hazardous waste generation, chemical use, maintenance activities, warehousing and transportation services, dining facility, health and fitness facilities including medical clinic and gym.
Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop andmaintainworkplace procedures, processes and permits related to environmental compliance and safety including water testing and monitoring, flora and fauna management, spill prevention and response, and hazardous and general waste management.

Knowledge of various subcontract types (Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, and subsets thereof).
Security Clearance Required:
It is a condition of employment that employees obtain andretaintheappropriate levelof security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee willrequirea NV1 Department ofDefenceSecurity Clearance (Australian)
