Summary
Position is located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, within the Superintendent Division. Senior advisor in management of natural/cultural resources and is responsible for program development, implementation, and oversight. Park resources include vegetation, wildlife, sensitive species, exotic and pest species, fisheries, air/water quality, soils, geology, hydrology, paleontology, museum collections/archives, cultural landscapes, historic structures, archeology, and ethnography.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Leadership and supervision of the park's Resources Management division, comprised of natural resources, cultural resources and museum collection branches. Oversees the park's relationship with affiliated tribes. Provide accurate and reliable advice and guidance to park leadership on all matters relating to resource management and tribal relations. Serves as a member of the park's leadership team, responsible for working collaboratively across divisions to establish a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and safety. Creates opportunities for staff to engage and develop skill sets. Communication and Collaboration: Coordinates with specialists in other disciplines, other park divisions and external partners. Communicates clearly and provides excellent customer service.
