Summary
Position located at Joshua Tree National Park in the Maintenance Division in Twentynine Palms, CA. Operates gasoline/diesel-powered engineering/construction heavy equipment on flat or rolling terrain, refuse dumps, and/or construction sites with simple terrain problems. Equipment typically includes tractors with bulldozer or angledozer blades, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, wheel loaders, trench diggers, skid steers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Operates motor grader to ditch, plow, clear debris, flat road grading, maintaining road shoulders, and ditching where grading to stake is not required. Operates front end loaders in the process of moving dirt and materials, plowing snow and filling trucks. Uses a grader, loader, and dump truck to remove snow from roads and parking lots during winter months. Uses equipment to perform roadside brushing and clearing of debris. Loads, secures and hauls equipment to and from project sites using truck and trailer.
