DescriptionArcelorMittal France opening a Process Engineer Decarbonization DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) position to join the Decarbonization project team on our Dunkirk site.
Role : Process implementation of the new DRI project at the ArcelorMittal site of Dunkerque.
Main responsibilities :
- Process integration of the new DRI unit at Dunkerque
- As part of the project team ensure the successfully implemented of the new equipment
- Plan, study, implement, and optimize all process activities related to the project
- Alignment of process procedures with ArcelorMittal standards
Standardization and benchmarking of the DRI process with other ArcelorMittal sites
Knowledge and skills
- General manufacturing, maintenance and/or equipment knowledge and experience is desired.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong facilitation and time management skills
- Experience in managing continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Methodologies
Key activities and duties :
- Ensure plant safety in all process activities
- Ensure environmental compliance in process activities
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the new process
- Coordination of training of new process
- Develop the process risk study
- Investigate new process improvements on innovative tools ·
- Develop knowledge, benchmark, verify the assumptions of partner companies
- Identify problems and solve them as a team with engineering teams, suppliers, partners
- Alignment between OEM and site requirements
- Cold and hot commissioing of the new process
- Optimize process with state of the art automation and improvements
Education and experience :
- University Degree in Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or similar
- At least 5 years experience in manufacturing or project management
- Preference will be given to candidates with :
- Previous DRI experience
- Experience in the steel making industry
- Commissioning experience
- Competency in the French language
