The Division of Drinking Water is looking for an Environmental Program Coordinator to assist the Field Services Section in their mission to assist water systems in providing safe drinking water.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Coordinator for the Division’s Sanitary Survey and Level 2 Assessment programs. This will include data entry, assignment management and tracking, reviewing letters and data management using excel, web-based and in-house databases.
- Program Coordinator for the Division’s Emergency response program. This will include supporting policy and rule development, creating flow charts, and records management.
- Assist in partnership contracts: budget updates, services tracking, and administrative support.
- Process and track travel requests and reimbursements for section staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and learn new skills quickly.
- Knowledge and experience working with databases, using excel to track information and progress.
- Ability to solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions.
- Ability to work with peers, stakeholders, and customers in creating documents, including drafting, and reviewing policies or letters for context and grammar.
- Experience in customer service with ability to speak and write clearly and engage with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and see projects through to completion with little supervision.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Utah Drinking Water Operator Certification.
- Knolwedge of drinking water rules, operations, and inspections.
