SALARY: As per agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Education Association hourly rate for a total of 40 hours each. Funded through Federal SIA Funds
JOB DESCRIPTION: This role involves guiding a student-led group focused on promoting sustainability, environmental awareness, and green initiatives within the school and local community. Integrate environmental education into team activities to build student understanding of sustainability, climate change, conservation, and related topics. Coordinate with school administration, staff, and custodial teams to implement eco-friendly initiatives. Communicate with parents, local organizations, and community partners to support sustainability projects.
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:
- New Jersey Teacher Certificate
- Student Centered Focus
- Competence in knowledge/skills
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED:
- Experience in the listed activity orwillingness to learn
- Current Middle School teachers
