As an Energy Strategy, Procurement & Sustainable Operations Executive Director, on the Global Real Estate team, you will lead enterprise-scale energy procurement and operational sustainability initiatives, partnering closely with senior leaders to integrate environmental performance into day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. This role combines technical expertise, financial acumen, program leadership, and cross-functional coordination to deliver measurable environmental and asset value outcomes at scale.
Job Responsibilities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 10+ years of leadership experience in energy and sustainability
- Expertise in data/control frameworks, with the ability to lead complex, matrixed organizations and influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to evaluate the financial implications, risks, and strategic trade-offs of complex transactions, and make clear recommendations on preferred alternatives.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise project execution at global scale
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-level programs balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic objectives
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Ability to manage, analyze, and communicate insights from large and complex data sets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including senior-level presentations
- Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and lead effectively in a cross-functional setting
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale sustainability and renewable energy programs within a real estate portfolio or Fortune 500 organization
- Sustainability leadership experience delivering decarbonization programs across operational and financed emissions
