We're looking for a Compliance Officer (Commercial Gas and Renewables) to join our Asset Management team, supporting the delivery of essential compliance services across our property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our commercial gas and renewable energy assets remain safe, compliant and well maintained. You'll work closely with customers, contractors and colleagues across the business to coordinate servicing programmes, manage remedial works, maintain compliance records and support contractor performance, helping us meet our regulatory obligations while delivering an excellent customer experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Business Lead with the delivery of commercial gas servicing programmes and associated remedial works, ensuring services are delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Managing and monitoring inspection, servicing and remedial work programmes for renewable and alternative energy systems, including HIUs, Ground Source Heat Pumps and Air Source Heat Pumps.
- Ensuring commercial gas service records and compliance documentation are accurate and maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with customers and contractors to coordinate appointments, improve access arrangements and reduce missed visits.
- Monitoring contractor performance and supporting the effective delivery of compliance programmes and maintenance contracts.
- Maintaining accurate compliance records, certifications and asset data, ensuring systems are kept up to date and audit ready.
- Supporting contract management activities, including performance monitoring, reporting and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Assisting with programme planning, budget forecasting and procurement activities relating to compliance services.
- Responding to customer enquiries, complaints and feedback, ensuring they are handled promptly and professionally.
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate information and evidence within agreed timescales.
- Building positive working relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues to ensure compliance works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Promoting awareness of gas safety, renewable energy safety and the importance of compliance inspections and maintenance activities.
What we're looking for:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
- A minimum of two years' experience managing programmes, projects or contractor performance.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors and colleagues.
- Experience of developing effective partnerships and collaborative working relationships.
- A customer-focused approach with experience handling enquiries, service issues and complaints.
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements.
- A proactive and motivated attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering excellent outcomes.
- Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of compliance, risk management and data accuracy.
- A willingness to work towards a professional qualification in property compliance or a related building specialism.
- Experience within social housing and knowledge of gas compliance requirements would be advantageous.

Interview Process:
Candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview where we'll explore your experience, technical knowledge and suitability for the role. Interviews will take place on week commencing 7th September 2026 at our St Helen's Central Office.
