In this role, you will utilize your electronics design skills to design, develop and test battery monitoring units and Battery management units (BMU) for next generation consumer electronic products. You will work with suppliers to develop custom parts where needed and design test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design!
Push the boundaries of technologies to maximize performance and minimize volume through modeling and simulation\\nSpecify custom parts and PCBs for use in BMUs\\nAnalyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the requirements.\\nCreate IC models, and conduct model validation\\nConduct design validation on prototypes to implement the design\\nConduct design reviews, incorporate team feedback and release the design documents for builds\\nCollaborate with multi-functional partners (Product Design, System EE, Cell Engineering, Firmware, Algorithms, etc.) to ensure the product is developed on time and\\nConduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues\\nDevelop schematic and guide component selection to meet all physical and electrical requirements of BMU. \\nSpecify production test plans and limits and work with CM partners to realize design
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of study\\nExperience in analog integrated circuit design such as DACs, LDOs, SMPSs or relevant
MS degree and 10+ years relevant industry experience\\nExperience with creating and using real-numbered models in System Verilog or analog behavioral models in Verilog-A/MS\\nIndustry experience in Power Electronics, Battery Management (fuel gauge and charger), Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics\\nExperience scripting in Python, Shell, Unix, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis\\nExperience with high volume manufacturing\\nExperience developing a list of tests from the datasheet to determine chip coverage\\nAbility to create functionally equivalent models to the associated portions of the design\\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management\\nUnderstanding of the silicon manufacturing process and how semiconductor devices and associated parasitic subcircuits are created
