Summary
This position is located in First State National Historical Park, in the Interpretation and Resources Division. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 08/20/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
Major Duties
As a Supervisory Park Panger (Resource Management) GS-0025-11, you will perform the following duties: Manages a comprehensive Visitor Experience program that includes Safety, Health and Wellness program participation. Supervises a multi-disciplinary front-line staff including interns, seasonals, and volunteers. Plans and coordinates adequate staffing for the Visitor Experience and Resource Plans, conducts, and evaluates natural and social science surveys, inventories, assessments, and long-term monitoring protocols. Develops, implements, and monitors complex, scientifically credible protection, mitigation, and restoration projects. Develops and presents programs to diverse audiences to build support for management goals. Prepares reports, summaries, and plans public education programs. Develops and implements contracts and agreements in support of program services and partnership goals. Establishes and maintains an internal control program to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse and ensures that property, funds, and other assets.
