Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: This position serves as the Chief of Administration/Business Manager for the organization assigned. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the administrative and business operations of the organization and serve as the principal advisor and management consultant to the Park or Program Manager and the organization's management team for administrative matters. The incumbent is responsible for advising the organization's management team and staff on all administrative matters within the organization and for guiding management and staff toward effective management of the organization's business. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide accurate and reliable advice on a wide range of administrative functions as these apply to the park or program assigned, either as a personal advisory service to the management team and/or by directing (or obtaining services of) specialists, technicians, and clerical support positions in delivering services to managers and employees of the organization. Responsible for keeping the organization's revenues and spending in balance through sound advice and supervision of the staff of the Administration/Business Office dedicated to budget and financial management. Incumbent oversees the following: payroll and timekeeping, bills of collection, payment of invoices, internal controls and audits, and travel services. Serves as the primary liaison with the centralized HR Talent Group, coordinating the identification and communication of personnel needs and receipt of HR services from the centralized HR offices. Ensures that the Park or Program Manager and management team receives sound advice and guidance on position management through collaboration with human resources, including provision of staffing analysis, succession planning, and facilitation of position management reviews. Provides administrative and technical supervision/direction over subordinate business management/ administration staff.
