The Opportunity
Bluewater is looking to bring on a TechnicalSolutionsEngineer to enable theRenewableSite Solutions teamto solverenewable energy equipment replacement challenges. This includesidentifyingcompatible alternativeswhen OEM parts are obsoleteordiscontinued, recommending equivalent products across manufacturers, and supporting complex repowering projects involving solar panels,battery energy storage systems (BESS),inverters,transformers, breakers,switchgears,and otherelectrical components.
This is a highly collaborative role that not only helps drive sales conversion but also strengthens long-term relationships with site owners and operators who value technical problem-solving and product availability. In this role,you’llpartner with Sales and Operations teams to understand customer requirements, reviewequipmentand project specifications, and recommend technical solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing site infrastructure and electrical systems.
Requirements
Own andmaintainBluewater’s centralized equipment database, ensuring technical specifications, documentation, compatibility information, and inventory recordsremainaccurateand up to date
Build andmaintaina comprehensive library of product datasheets, manuals, certifications, technical drawings, and other supporting documentation
Coordinate with OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and site owners to obtain technical documentation and resolve product-related questions
Develop equipment compatibility matrices, cross-reference guides, and replacement recommendations for obsolete,discontinued, and legacy equipment
Monitor market trends, product availability, equipment obsolescence, and emerging technologies to proactivelyidentifyreplacement solutions
3-7+ years of experiencesupporting utility-scale renewable energy projects through an EPC,Operations and Maintenance (O&M), equipment distributor,manufacturer, or similar technical organization
Strong familiarity with utility-scale renewable energy equipment, including solar panels, inverters, BESS, transformers, and high-voltage electrical equipment
