Senior Food Service Manager - Concessions (Full-Time)

The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a full-time Senior Food Service Manager-Concessions. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, organized individual interested in working in a high volume and fast-paced environment while supporting our mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act!
Under limited supervision, the Senior Food Service Manager-Concessions plans, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of all Concession Food Service Areas. They will be responsible for supervising subordinate staff in the preparation of food, assuring proper inventory levels are maintained, labor, cost and revenue standards are met, proper cash handling procedures are followed, and that cleanliness and safety of Concession and Catering areas and maintained. They will also be responsible for preparing annual budgets and income projections.
This position reports to the Director of Food Service, is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires time worked in excess of forty hours per week.
Minimum Training and Experience
•Preference of degree in Food Services, Business, or related field and three to five years of experience in food service management, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
•Must possess the required certification in Food Service sanitation.
•Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
•Must be at least 21+ years of age.
