Wood are seeking a Senior Consultant to support Wood’s transport decarbonisation offer across our Sustainable Infrastructure business in the UK. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of transport decarbonisation technologies and options available to government clients.
You will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of strategic transport projects across the UK and overseas, and will support the Transport Decarbonisation Technical Director with client engagement, bidding and project delivery. The workload is extremely varied covering all aspects of e-mobility and multi-modal studies including highways, cycling, walking and public transport.

Responsibilities
- Lead on projects where data is key in delivery (e.g. demand and user analysis to identify the best EV infrastructure/ fleet deployment). An understanding of the available data to conduct demand and user analysis is important
- Ensure effective collaboration across business areas within Wood when bidding and delivering projects
- Further develop expertise in the area of alternative fuels, specifically hydrogen
- Lead and/or support the full bidding lifecycle when required
- Lead and/or support project delivery on time, to budget and above client expectations
- Support the development of the Transport Decarbonisation pipeline, creating opportunities for new work and new clients
- Keep up to date with market and industry best practice
- Conduct market research and analysis on emerging technologies, and innovative business and customer solutions for the Transportation sector
- Assist with technical writing of vehicle specifications, supply chain and business case for fleet and transportation operations
