Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a HSE Manager to join our client's team.
The selected candidate will support the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental strategies across the organisation. The role involves monitoring workplace activities, identifying potential risks, maintaining safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal standards.
The HSE Manager will also coordinate safety and environmental training, support emergency preparedness, and ensure that employees have access to appropriate personal protective equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can communicate effectively with different departments and promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an operational environment and able to prepare accurate safety reports, policies, risk assessments, and related documentation. This is an on-site position, and remote working is not available.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Coordinate safety and environmental training for employees.
- Monitor operations and departments to ensure compliance with safety protocols and legislation.
- Maintain emergency response plans and support the achievement of company health and safety objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- At least 2 years of experience in a health, safety, or environmental role.
- Experience preparing health and safety reports, procedures, and policies.
- Fluent spoken and written English; knowledge of Italian is considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to monitor compliance effectively.
