Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
As MEASA regional Near Shore Diversification (NSD) & (Best Cost Country) BCC Leader at Gas Power, you will:
- Develop new suppliers in region to de-risk global supply chain challenges in terms of quality, delivery, single & sole source elimination and commodity inflation mitigation.
- Identify & develop long term strategic approach to leverage existing regional supplier base for new commodities (additional to existing) by validating supplier capacity, capability and leveraging strength in existing commodity with potential to grow in future commodity.
- Define and work-out regional entitlement, build part / product qualification pipeline, drive volume allocation growth to MEASA suppliers, based on a total landed cost competitiveness, identify potential leakages and drive mitigation actions
- Map supplier capabilities to product sub-families to optimize target panel supplier list in region.
- Work closely with GCLs and CSLs to help develop BCC sourcing strategy for target commodities to achieve improved SQDC outcomes, variable cost productivity, and dual sourcing goals
- Work closely with Project Procurement Managers / ITO Sourcing Leaders in regions to help develop sourcing strategy for target commodity / project to achieve improved SQDC outcomes
- Identify and lead product qualification projects with cross functional Teams covering CSLs / GCLs / SQEs, Engineering, Pivot To Value (P2V) and other cross functional team
- Negotiate lowest possible cost with best cash flow terms aligning commercial T&Cs, while maintaining the highest quality of goods and services
- Balance strategy development with tactical execution to execute projects for total global landed cost reduction through process changes, supply chain optimization, raw materials and special process localization
- Interface with other GE business sourcing teams and participate in companywide strategic sourcing initiatives for specific region
- Meet targets for business KPI’s of cost savings and cash for assigned commodity scope and projects
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Sourcing / Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales / Commercial Operations
- Preferred minimum 2 years of experience in Sourcing and/or managing commodities.

- Strong quantitative and data research skills

- Process leadership experience such as CAP, Lean / Action WorkOuts, process improvement; CPM or APICS certification (not mandatory)
- Purchasing system experience
- Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and responsive skills
