MAJOR DUTIES: The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of State and Community Energy Programs is looking for a dynamic, innovative, seasoned executive to lead the Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP). As the Principal Deputy Director of State and Community Energy Programs you will: Oversee the executive leadership positions in the SCEP organization, including providing key oversight and management responsibilities for the State Energy, Community Energy, Weatherization Assistance, Local Government Clean Energy Workforce, and other programs to assist underserved communities. Manage a broad range of functions, including policy analysis, financial assistance award management for both formula-based and competitive awards, technical assistance and project oversight. Direct a team of career energy policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy and financial assistance experts. Create strategic policy formulation, program design, solicitation, negotiation and award of financial assistance agreements across all SCEP program areas. Ensures the Administration's values of diversity and equity are reflected in SCEP program operations. Report to the Director, SCEP, serving as First Assistant.
