Our Global Market Access team monitor population demographics and develop solutions to give patients access to our medicines. We act as both educators and advocates for our products, processes, and practices that help us revolutionize how our medicines create value in society.
Under Global Market Access, the Sustainable Access Solutions team develops strategies to collaborate with health systems, providers and other stakeholders to ensure patients are able to access our innovations.

The Director, Sustainable Access Solutions, will lead the design and development of solutions focused on optimizing patient pathways and improving patient flow. With a focus on addressing delays in time to diagnosis and time to treatment, the Director will act as a critical partner to business leaders and market teams with the aim of identifying future patient access challenges and building a pipeline of solutions.
Responsibilities:
Be a key subject matter expert, leader and strategic advisor to regional leaders, market business leads and franchise leaders on development of solutions to optimize pathways.
Identifying, framing, and prioritizing initiatives to capture value. Establishing project roadmaps and developing actionable plans to drive improvements and access.
Guide market Key Account Managers and Healthcare leads on effective implementation of care pathway innovations, working closely with a cross functional team (Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Policy).
Develop a competency framework and upskilling plan to build internal capabilities in process optimization, healthcare management and optimal care models for field teams.
Develop data strategies and evidence-based approaches to generate business cases, and support health systems in making the case for transformation.
Develop strategy and a pipeline of solutions to optimize pathways (diagnosis to treatment) for our future portfolio, including rare diseases and personalized medicine.
Overall accountability for development of standardized metrics and KPIs focused on addressing patient access gaps and linking them to our company’s strategic priorities.

Experience and Skills
Minimum seven years’ industry experience in or across the Healthcare, MedTech or management consulting.
Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals C-Suite/Senior Management stakeholders within healthcare, MedTech and management consulting.
Demonstrable program management skills, planning, coordinating, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks.
Strong people management, coaching and mentoring skills.
Core management consulting skills especially problem solving, strategizing and measure results.
Proven and recurring success in directing, driving and managing projects end to end from analysis to implementation in healthcare.
Deep subject matter expertise on hospital operations, incentive structures and optimal care models including knowledge of the decision-making process within healthcare providers and systems and their dynamics.
Desirable experience working in pathways across secondary care.
Extensive experience in quality improvement in health care with industry leading quality improvement methods and tools e.g., Lean healthcare or Six Sigma certification preferred.
Existing external network to scope and understand operational challenges in advance of product launch.
