Summary
You will serve as a Maintenance Worker for the National Park Service in Thibodaux, LA. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. You may be required to travel overnight away from home. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. Salary range is $26.49 (Step 1) to $30.90 (Step 5) per hour. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
Major Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: maintain and repair grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities assist journeyman or other higher graded maintenance workers in performing more difficult assignments associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, roofing, and other related trades
