ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and maintain the day-to-day administration and execution of company-wide health, safety, and compliance programs within a fast-paced operational environment.
This is a 100% onsite position that will primarily support its designated home location while providing support to other locations within the region as business needs arise.
A significant portion of the role will focus on the hands-on coordination and administration of high-volume drug testing and fingerprinting, safety incident response and investigations, and workers’ compensation claims.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable balancing routine compliance activities with time-sensitive safety matters, and experienced in safety coordination within fleet, transportation, logistics, or similarly fast-paced operational environments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
2+ years of experience in EHS, safety, workers’ compensation, HR compliance, or a related field.
Experience managing workers’ compensation claims.
Strong execution and case management skills.
Working knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA requirements.
Ability to work 100% onsite.
BONUS POINTS FOR:
Experience in fleet, transportation or logistics.
Experience conducting onsite drug-testing programs.
Experience conducting onsite fingerprinting programs.
OSHA certification or safety-related certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to regularly walk and navigate garage, depot, parking, and vehicle staging areas to conduct inspections and safety activities.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing onsite duties.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to occasionally bend, reach, crouch, or stoop when performing inspections or other job-related activities.
Ability to perform duties in indoor and outdoor operational environments, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions.
Ability to operate a computer and other equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
