The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

Keep accurate financial records and ledger
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards and internal controls
Perform account receivable functions including deposit and revenue recognition
Perform account payable functions including preparation and processing of checks and payments
Reconcile, balance, and review all accounts for errors
Prepare and file appropriate tax and vendor documents, sales tax, 1099, etc.
Assist with preparation of audit and Form 990
Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience
QuickBooks Online – required
Non-profit experience
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use of good judgement
Willingness to work in a small office environment and the ability to complete tasks with little direct oversight
