Well-qualified candidates have the following skills:
- Point of sale system experience– responsible for cash transactions, including refunding customers, providing discounts, and comping items with good reason, which requires proficiency with the restaurant’s POS system
- Organizational skills– juggle many responsibilities at a time, so top-notch organizational skills and prioritization skills are critical for running successful shifts
- Training– leads staff onboarding, experience teaching or training new staff is preferable
- Leadership skills– keep staff on task, motivated, and focused. They also resolve staff conflicts and customer’s concerns
- Management– hiring, firing, training, and disciplining staff are also responsibilities, so they must have strong managerial skills
- Customer service– dedication to providing excellent customer service and improving the customer experience are important qualities,
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of front of house (FOH) staff including hiring, scheduling, training, and general supervision
- Responsibility for Waitstaff and Bar staff
- Responsibility for BOH and kitchen staff with the support of executive and sous chefs
- Responsibility for gaming staff
- Understanding when to hire to manage a balance of customer and business needs
- Scheduling by understanding restaurant trends
- Required table touches throughout the management shift
- Desire to improve operations
- Bussing tables as needed
- Identifying, creating, documenting, and maintaining training requirements for staff
- Motivating and providing excellent leadership to staff
- Providing excellent customer service to guests * Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines
- Oversee that all opening and closing duties of the sections are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained
- Responsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems
- Balancing all daily and nightly cash drawers and POS
- Inventory and maintenance of par levels for front-of-house items
- Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area
- Executing catering function management for booked events
- Work closely with the Back of House Manager to provide a seamless experience
- Will report directly to the owners, or other managers as designated by owners
- Responsible for quality assurance of products and services
- Supporting kitchen as needed
Job Specification:
- 3+ years of restaurant experience
- Preferred to be seeking or completed a Bachelor’s degree in a Hospitality related field
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft/Google applications including Word/doc and Excel/sheets
- High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances
- Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time
- Experience using POS systems preferred
- ServSafe training preferred; Georgia Liquor License and Food handlers card (Completed within the first 30 days of taking role)
- Must pass a background check and random drug tests
